Funny isnt it; all these people interesting/ semi obsessed with follies seem to have a disgruntlement at the goverment and becoming part of the EU. Several of the books I've got go on rants about the state of Britain and loss of national identity. They seem to see the the disreguard of follies as part and parcel of this state!
